Description Repair Of Service Vehicle Of Department Of Tourism (dot) Iv-a With Plate No. Skc 933 Toyota Fortuner 4x2 2.5g Dsl A. Ii. Background: The Department Of Tourism (dot) Region Iv-a Is The Philippines’ Executive Office Located In The Region Of Calabarzon – Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, And Quezon Responsible For The Regulation And Promotion Of The Philippine Tourism Industry. Dot’s Mission Is To Encourage, Promote, And Develop Tourism As A Major Socio-economic Activity To Generate Foreign Currency And Local Employment, Ultimately Spreading The Benefits Of Tourism To Both The Private And Public Sector. In Order To Effectively Carry Out The Mandated Functions, Operational And Administrative Requirements Of Dot Region Iv-a, The Use And Availability Of Official Dot Service Motor Vehicles Is Essential. As Such, To Ensure Accountable And Judicious Use, Proper Upkeep, Maintenance, And Timely Repair Of Said Vehicles, The Dot Region Iv-a Intends To Engage A Service Provider For The Provision Of Repair And Maintenance Services, Including The Supply And Installation Of Spare Parts, For The Dot Region Iv-a Service Motor Vehicles. Iii. Approved Budget And Scope Of Services: The Approved Budget Is Eighty-three Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-five And Forty-six Centavos (php 83,965.46), Inclusive Of 12% Vat And Subject To Usual Government Accounting And Auditing Regulations. The Following Services And Parts For Repairs With Corresponding Amount Are Prescribed In The Attached Main Document. Iv. Payment Scheme: The Dot Iv-a Shall Pay The Contracted Service Provider Within Fifteen Calendar (15) Days Upon Receipt Of The Billing Statement Or Statement Of Account, Subject To The Issuance Of Satisfactory Service Rendered By The Authorized Representative/s Of Dot Iv-a And Completion Of All Documentary Requirements For Processing Of Payment. V. Liquidated Damages: If The Service Provider Fails To Deliver Any Or All Of The Goods And/or To Perform The Services Within The Period Specified In This Contract, The Procuring Entity Shall, Without Prejudice To Its Other Remedies Under This Contract And Under The Applicable Law, Deduct From The Contract Price As Liquidated Damages, The Applicable Rate Of One-tenth (1/10) Of One Percent (1%) Of The Cost Of The Unperformed Portion For Every Day Of Delay, Provided That The Maximum Deduction Shall Be Ten Percent (10%) Of The Total Contract Price, The Procuring Entity Reserves The Right To Rescind The Contract, Without Prejudice To Other Courses Of Action And Remedies Available To It.
