Dfat Is Looking For A Provider To Implement Phase 2 Of The Australian Government’s Australia Assists Program (the Program). Phase 2 Of The Program Will Continue To Deploy Humanitarian Technical Specialists Into Multilateral Agencies, Governments, Civil Society And Communities To Prepare For, Respond To And Recover From Disasters And Conflict. The Program Prioritises Deployment Requests Based On Humanitarian Need And Australia's Priorities. The Mixture Of Partner Organisations Provides The Scale And Scope Of Demand That The Program Requires To Be Effective And Promotes Visibility And Recognition Of Australia’s Global Humanitarian Commitments. Deployments Vary In Length Depending On Objectives. Shorter Deployments (of About 3 Months) Are Often For Humanitarian Emergency Responses; Longer Deployments (12 To 18 Months) Are Used To Strengthen Capacity In Partner Organisations.
