Advance Procurement Notice 25kv High Voltage Lines Replacement 4 Wing Cold Lake, Alberta. (with Security Requirements) Purpose Of This Advance Procurement Notice This Is Not A Bid Solicitation Nor A Request For Proposals. This Is An Advance Notice For A Potential Contract With Anticipated Security Requirements To Provide Interested Contractors An Opportunity To Begin The Sponsorship Process For Obtaining (if Required) The Anticipated Security Clearance(s). Note That There Is No Guarantee That This Solicitation Will Proceed Or That Any Security Clearance(s) Will Be Granted Under The Sponsorship Process In A Timely Fashion Or Otherwise. Description Of The Project And Services The Defence Of Canada Fighter Infrastructure (dcfi) Power Grid Modernization (pgm) Project Is To Construct A New 25kv Underground (in Concrete Encased Copper Conduit Except For A Small Section Of Direct Buried Copper Conduit) High Voltage Power Line From Dnd Owned Sub-stn B651 On The Base Side Of 4 Wing To Both The Tac Side And The Airfield Of 4 Wing Cold Lake. The Project Is Divided Into Two Phases. Phase 1 Is The Installation Of A 25kv Line For The Main High Voltage Electrical Distribution System From The Existing Atco East Substation To A New East Switching Station, Through The Existing Switching Station To The New West Switching Station & Installation Of Concrete Encased Duct Bank Throughout. Phase 2 Is The Installation Of A New High Voltage Distribution System To The Qra, Waterleap, Tac Ramp, Hangarettes, And Fsf Tying Into The Phase 1 Distribution System; And Upgrade Of All Distribution Equipment For Multiple Buildings (approx. 13) Throughout The Base; And Also Concrete Encased Duct Bank Throughout. These Two Phases Of The Work Will Be Tendered Together As A Single Project. The Scope Of Work Is Not Limited To Electrical Site Services, It Also Includes Demolition Of Existing Services (i.e. Fences, O/h Line, Riser Poles, Concrete Pad, Etc.), And Reinstatement Of Associated Civil Works. It Is Anticipated That This Solicitation Will Be Initiated In February 2025. This Is Conditional On The Contract Receiving Approval To Proceed By The Department Of National Defence (dnd). It Is Anticipated That The Following Solicitation Will Proceed As Noted In The Table Below. This Is Conditional On The Contract Receiving Approval To Proceed From Dnd.
