Tenders are invited for 48-inch suction header repair project Description: Sealed proposals addressed to Mr. Larry McDaniel, P.E., General Manager, Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District (DCPCMUD), 1811 Regal Row, Dallas, Texas 75235 for: DALLAS COUNTY PARK CITIES MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT PARK CITIES WATER TREATMENT PLANT (WTP) 48-INCH SUCTION HEADER REPAIR PROJECT will be received until January 5, 2021 at 10:00 AM , at the DCPCMUD%s General Office, 1811 Regal Row, Dallas, Texas 75235, at which time and place the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after the time set for opening bids will be returned unopened. Proposals may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the time set for opening bids. One Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted in the DCPCMUD?€™s Board Room located at 1811 Regal Row, Dallas, Texas 75235 on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Prospective Bidders are not required to attend the Pre-Bid Conference in order to bid. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: 1. Base Bid a. Demolition of the north end of the 48-inch pipeline segment which serves as the High Service Pump Station (HSPS) suction header at the Park Cities Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This includes a 48-inch 90-degree bend and a 48-inch dish head flange. b. Demolition of the 48-inch gate valve along with the associated actuator and control panel (which are located on the main floor of the Treated Water Pump Station). c. Installation of new 48-inch blind flanges at the end connections created by this demolition work. Both blind flanges shall be outfitted with a 4-inch drain line. d. Surface preparation and installation of an exterior carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite system to provide structural reinforcement and integrity for sections of the 48-inch Suction Header pipe and associated fittings (i.e., four [4] high service pump [HSP] lateral connections and one 48-inch tee). e. Surface cleaning and recoating of the 36-inch High Pressure Main and appurtenant items that are located within the limits of the pipe trench.
