This Request For Proposals (the “rfp”) Is An Invitation By The Cowichan Valley Regional District (the “cvrd”) To Prospective Proponents To Submit Proposals For  Supply Of Residential Curbside Collection Carts The Cvrd Is Launching A New Three Stream Curbside Collection Program In 2025 For All Eligible Residents Within The Cvrd’s Nine Electoral Areas.  As Part Of This Program, The Cvrd Must Provide Each Resident Wheeled Carts For Collection Of Their Garbage, Recycling, And Organics Materials. The Cvrd Currently Provides Garbage And Recycling Collection For Some Electoral Areas But Does Not Provide Organics Collection.  The Cvrd Is Seeking Optionally To Supply The Organics Carts Equipped With Bear-resistant Locking Hardware And Would Like To Explore The Option For The Supplier To Distribute The Carts And Other Program Materials To Eligible Households. In Addition, The Cvrd Requires Annual Quantities Of Carts For New Service Starts And To Replace Damaged And Missing Carts.
