General The Purpose Of This Bid Is To Establish A Contract To Provide Rock, Stone, And/or Gravel To The City Of Tuscaloosa On An As Needed Basis. Depending Upon The Project And/or Application, The City Will Need To Purchase Both A Limestone And/or Sandstone Base. The Varieties And Types Of These Materials Are Detailed In The Bidder’s Response Table Section And Are Most Commonly Purchased By The City. On Occasion The City May Need To Purchase Rock, Stone, Or Gravel Not Specifically Listed In This Bid Document. The Awarded Bidder Shall Agree To Sell These Unlisted Varieties And Types At Discounts And Pricing Comparable To Their Awarded Bid Prices. Bid Prices Shall Be Inclusive Of All Shipping, Handling, Freight, Delivery, And Any Other Charges. No Additional Charges Or Fees Shall Apply. There Shall Be No Minimum Order Quantities Or Amounts. As Detailed Herein, The Material Specified In This Bid Must Meet Alabama Department Of Transportation Standard Specifications For Highway Construction, Year 2022. The Source Of Coarse And Fine Aggregate Must Be On Aldot’s Approved List. The City Reserves The Right To Have Any Order Sampled For Compliance With Stated Requirements. Testing Will Be Performed By A 3rd Party Vendor At The City’s Expense. If The Testing Indicates The Bid Specifications Are Not Met, It Shall Be Considered A Breach. The City Cannot Use Material That Does Not Meet The Specifications Herein. The Awarded Bidder Will Remove The Product Within 72 Hours Of Notification, Removal Will Be At No Cost To The City.
