Central Railway Tender

The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid having value is calculated using the formula: Available Bid Capacity = [A x N x 2] – 0.33xNxB Where, A = Maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year (up to date of inviting tender), N = Number of years prescribed for completion of work for which bids have been invited, B = Existing commitments and balance amount of ongoing works with the tenderer. Additionally, the tenderer will be qualified only if its available bid capacity is equal to or more than the total bid value of the present tender for tenders having an advertised value of more than Rs 20 crore. Also, the bid capacity is related to the financial and technical eligibility criteria. The technical eligibility criteria require the tenderer to have successfully completed or substantially completed any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of the tender, - One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of the tender. The bid capacity required can be summarized with the following values and formulas: - 60% of the advertised tender value for one similar work, - 30% of the advertised tender value for each of three similar works, - 40% of the advertised tender value for each of two similar works.
