The Bureau Of Reclamation, Interior Region 8: Lower Colorado Basin Has A Requirement To Refurbish Safety Doors At The Hoover Dam Penstock. The Work Consists Of Refurbishing Thirty-seven Safety Doors Installed To Mitigate Powerhouse Flooding In The Event Of Penstock Failure. The Doors, And Their Appurtenances, Are Original To The Plant. There Are Four Types Of Doors To Be Refurbished. The Principal Components Of Work Include But Not Limited To The Following:1. Inspection Of Doors, Frames, Operating Mechanisms, And Wear Parts.a.
