Carers Play A Significant Role Within The Social Care System Providing Significant Levels Of Support To Family And/or Friends. However, Unpaid Carers Face Significant Disparities In Health And Wellbeing As A Result Of Their Caring Responsibilities. Buckinghamshire Council Is Seeking To Commission An Adults (including Young Adults 18-25yrs) Carers Support Service With A Digital Provision; Offering Information, Advice, Guidance, And Ongoing Support Tailored To Buckinghamshire Residents That Enables Them To Maintain Their Caring Roles. The New Service Will Embed The Responsibility For The Identification Of Carers In Buckinghamshire Throughout The Community, Education And The Health And Social Care Ecosystem. This Will Be Achieved Through Robust And Collaborative Partnership Working With Statutory, Voluntary And Social Enterprise Partners As Well As Primary And Education Settings. Information, Advice And Guidance Will Continue To Be Provided With Further Enhancement Through A New Digital Offer Which Will Also Support With The Identification Of Carers And Provide Online Support Groups With Peers. This Contract Is For Five Plus Two Years, Commencing On 1 April 2025.
