The bidder is required to have prior work experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last three years. They must have satisfactorily completed at least one similar work of value not less than 40% of the estimated value of the contract in any one year of the last three years, with a completion rate of not less than 90% of the contract value. Additionally, the bidder should have executed a minimum quantity of specific items of work, such as cement concrete, brick work, steel work, and water supply and sanitary works. The bidder's experience will be evaluated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. The bidder should also have a minimum financial turnover of 67% of the value of the contract over the last 5 years. The bidder should provide information on their prior work experience, including quantities of work executed as a prime contractor or nominated sub-contractor in the last three years, and the value of similar works completed. A certificate from the Engineer-in-Charge for the works performed should also be provided. The bidder's available bid capacity should be more than the total bid value, calculated as (A X N X 2 - B), where A is the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the value of existing commitments and on-going works. The bidder should also undertake to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the value of the work during the implementation of the contract and have liquid assets and/or credit facilities of not less than the amount indicated in Appendix I.
