Details: The Department For Infrastructure And Transport (the Department) Utilises A Prequalification System To Ensure That Only Appropriately Skilled And Experienced Companies Are Permitted To Submit Tenders To The Department In Certain Categories Of Contract Associated With The Delivery Of Social Infrastructure By The Building Projects Directorate. Companies Wishing To Respond To Building Project Listed Tenders Must First Be Prequalified With The Department For Infrastructure And Transport. A Limited Number Of Appropriately Prequalified Companies Will Be Invited To Participate In Procurements For Projects Valued At Under $50 Million. A Selection Committee Is Responsible For Selecting Tender Fields For Professional Services Contractors (psc's) And General Building Contractors (gbc's) Appropriate To The Value And Complexity Of The Project. The Tender Fields Will Typically Consist Of 3-5 Tenderers. Expressions Of Interest May Be Called For Services Required To Deliver Projects Valued At Over $50 Million And Only Submissions From Appropriately Prequalified Companies Will Be Considered. Where A Category Does Not Exist, The Department May Use Other Methods To Ensure That Tenderers Are Appropriately Qualified To Perform The Services Required. A Company May Apply For Prequalification In Any Category At Any Time.
