This RFT is to appoint a provider to research efficacy of installed heat pumps in homes at varying Heat Loss Indicator (HLI) levels to a max of 3.0 W/K/m2. Include a range of building cohorts/types of typology of residential & typical occupancy characteristics; influencing factors internal temp profile, heat distribution/emitter design, size of heat pump unit/user behaviour/operation to be assessed. RFT for the provision of Market Research and Surveys Consultancy Services for Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)-The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) (“the Client” or “Contracting Authority”) seeks Tenders for the Provision of Market Research Consultancy Services. The detailed specifications of requirements are outlined in Part C of this Stage 2 Request for Tender Mini Competition (RFT).

The objective of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to appoint one service provider per Lot to deliver SEAI's nationwide school workshop programme for students and teachers (CPD) to all target groups. This RFT has been divided into the following 4 Lots: Lot 1. Workshops aimed for Primary School student cohort and their educators. Lot 2. Workshops aimed for Post Primary School student cohort and their educators. Lot 3. Workshops aimed for Early Years engagement Development, Management and delivery including content and material development in collaboration with SEAI. Lot 4. This RFT is to carry out testing of up to two heat pump models to assess the compliance of these products with the EU Ecodesign Directive (2009/125/EC) and the EU Energy Labelling Regulations (EU 2017/1369), hereafter called “the Regulations”. The provider will be required to test: Model A One unit of Model A has already been tested and has not achieved the results required to comply with the Regulations. Therefore, a further three units of Model A must be tested to assess their compliance with the Regulations. Model B A single unit of Model B is due to be tested shortly and if this is found not to have achieved the results required to comply with the Regulations, we will also need to test a further three units of this model. The RFT was to establish a multiple party framework for the review and technical evaluation of project applications for the Communities Energy Grant (CEG) Scheme. The objective was to provide assurance that the energy savings indicated are engineeringly robust. The providers will be required to assist in the efficient administration and delivery of the CEG scheme and could be assigned any one or more of the following tasks: a) Initial determination and subsequent verification of the energy savings and energy credits associated with supported projects, based on technical workbooks and supporting technical product specifications. b) Undertaking technical evaluations and value for money assessments of applications This may require an onsite visit with potential clients from time to time. c) Evaluations will be in one or more sectors/buildings as outlined in the tender documents. The objective of this RFT is to establish a framework for expert services in support of SEAI’s Research and policy Insights Directorate. This RFT is issued with the objective of to establish frameworks of experts comprising of the following: Lot 1: Sustainable energy policy research and advice. Lot 2: Energy model development and support. Lot 3: Sustainable Energy Finance and programme / policy impact evaluation (including Cost Benefit Analysis). Lot 4: Framework for the Provision of Market Research Services. Lot 5: Sustainable Energy Research. Lot 6: Behavioural Science, Experimental Design and Evaluation. Lot 7: Data Gathering and Quality Control. The SEAI Energy Show SEAI hosts the Energy Show annually. The show is a two-day business-to-business trade exhibition attracting up to 150 exhibitors and 5,000 business visitors. The most recent show took place on 30th and 31st March, 2022 in the RDS Dublin. The primary objective of the event is to demonstrate how greater efficiency can reduce the demand for energy and how renewable energy can increase the overall sustainability of our energy supply in Ireland. The Show brings together buyers, suppliers and specifiers of sustainable energy products and services. Attendees include key representatives from the industrial, commercial and public sectors and more generally those with an interest in the purchasing or management of smart energy solutions.
