2023-173 Network Reinforcement Locational Pricing and Interconnection Modelling-Ofgem is seeking to procure three separate but related modelling exercises exploring: 1.The benefit of GB transmission reinforcement under a zonal wholesale market paradigm. 2.The marginal benefit of additional interconnection under a zonal wholesale market paradigm. 3.The total system cost implications of a local generation sensitivity, including implications on optimal transmission reinforcement, under a national wholesale market paradigm.

Review of the OFTO Regime-The subject of this contract is to review the Offshore Transmission Operator (OFTO) Regime. This review will be based upon the approach taken from an earlier review, conducted in 2016, which explored what benefits the first three OFTO tender rounds had delivered to consumer. As Ofgem has now having delivered a large pipeline of subsequent OFTO transactions, and require follow-up analysis be undertaken to determine potential benefits achieved.
