Event company to collaborate with the Institute’s event team to plan and execute services in connection with the following two (2) events in Maputo, Mozambique: Event 1: WIDER Development Conference Dates: 14-15 May 2024 (09:00-17:30) – 2 days Expected participants: 250 persons Venue1: Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, Maputo WIDER development conferences are the flagship event series of UNU-WIDER. In 2024, the conference will bring together participants from all around the world to discuss how academia, policy and practice can work together to secure the wellbeing and safety of future generations. Researchers, policymakers and practitioners will share common platforms and panels and interact with each other, thereby contributing to the programme’s knowledge-sharing and knowledge transfer objectives. The conference will also connect global south researchers to the international debates and facilitate southsouth exchanges to provide programme partners with an influential global voice on key policy and methodological issues, and a means to stimulate fruitful and non-partisan debate on contentious issues related to the programme’s themes. UNU-WIDER is seeking to contract an Event production Company in Maputo to collaborate with the Institute’s event management team and to deliver and manage, including staffing where necessary, the following services for this event. A detailed description of services is outlined in Section 4 of this document. 1. Event 2: WIDER Policy Panel Event Date: 16 May 2024 (09:00-14:30) Expected participants2: 400 persons. The policy panel, ‘Securing the future generations’ (exact title still to be determined), will bring together participants from all around the world to discuss how academia, policy and practice can work together to secure the wellbeing and safety of future generations. It will also connect Global South researchers to the international debates and facilitate South-South exchanges. Event production Company in Maputo to collaborate with the Institute’s event management team and to deliver and manage, including staffing where necessary, the following services for this event. 1. To find a suitable venue for the Policy Panel Event on 16 May 2024, source subcontractors agree on terms and sign contracts for the respective services. 2. To arrange Photography services including sourcing subcontractors, agreeing on terms and signing contracts with the selected service provider, and implementation. 3. Arrange Video recording services, including sourcing subcontractors, agreeing on terms and signing contracts with the selected service provider, set up, testing and implementation. 4. Furniture and Technical Set up of the Venue, ensuring requested table disposition, providing information signs, sourcing sub-contractors for equipment, agreeing on terms and contract signing for the respective services. 5. Registering arriving participants 6. Catering, including organizing meals, coffee breaks during the events, liaising with an appropriate catering supplier and managing all catering requirements. 7.
