Tender Results of European Central Bank

The ECB has awarded a contract to a partner who will operate logistics services within the ECB's premises according to set standards and service levels agreed with the ECB. This entails the transportation of items requiring movement within each building as well as between each of the ECB buildings, including the distribution and maintenance of furniture in office and conference areas, office relocations of staff and services supporting infrastructural facility management e.g. inventory management, support of the administration and maintenance of lockers, exchanging of confidential waste containers.

The ECB operates physical security systems on its premises (currently four separate buildings in the area of Frankfurt am Main) for the protection of the members of the ECB decision-making bodies, ECB staff members and visitors as well as the protection of the ECB premises. The entire physical security systems are erected according to the latest developments of so-called IP-based technologies and are connected via a physically separated security infrastructure solely installed to connect the systems to the integrated system assembly. These systems include video, access control, alarm, radio installation (‘BOS-Funkanlage’) and other smaller systems. Under a contract for the provision of planning and coordination services for physical security system environment (PSI), the successful Tenderer shall provide services fully onsite, deploying a designated team (estimate: 3-4 qualified staff members plus administrative support) to the ECB’s main building in Frankfurt am Main.

The ECB awarded a service contract to one provider for the provision of travel services. Work packages to be delivered include: 1. resources for travel service delivery, 2. travel services offline/online booking, 3. VIP services, 4. 24/7 services, 5. hotel direct payment, 6. Visa services, and 7. Group bookings. The scope of the contract may be subject to change, subject to the ECB’s business needs, in line with the main scope, objectives and the spirit of the contract. The services may be offered partially at the ECB premises in form of an onsite travel agency.
