ESB Networks is developing creative, impactful and cost-effective mitigations, playing our part in supporting Irish consumers’ continuity of supply, reputational and economic security, and confidence in reliable supplies of electricity. A number of initiatives have been established to close the gap identified, and one of these is; • Beat the Peak Domestic - a nationwide domestic behavioural demand response campaign, promoting and rewarding customers who reduce demand during peak demand events, testing a mixture of personal, community and broader pro-social incentives. This campaign will be supported by digital elements including the provision of targeted insights into customers’ electricity demand.

The Contracting Entity intends to procure a single-supplier framework agreement for Electricity Retail Market Assurance Services for the Retail Market Design Service (RMDS) in the fully open Irish Retail Electricity Market in the Republic of Ireland. It is proposed that the framework agreement will include (non-exhaustive list – high level scope): Retail market assurance services for changes to the retail market including the delivery of the V14.00.00 Market Release which will deliver further Smart Metering services to customers, an enduring microgeneration solution for customers and other changes to support a low carbon future. 1. New entrant suppliers require retail market assurance services to allow CRU to judge their suitability for retail market entry into the ROI electricity market. 2. Control and Instrumentation Maintenance Resources Framework for ESB Generating Stations. The work to be carried out is the provision of Instrumentation contractor resources for ongoing instrumentation maintenance at ESB Generating Stations. A substantial amount of additional work may be in progress by other Contractors at the same time therefore the Contractor will be expected to undertake and commit to working closely with the Engineer, whose approval will be required for access to specific work areas. The ability to work and co-operate with ESB staff and other contractors is a requirement of this framework. The contractor will also be responsible for supplying suitably qualified working Chargehands, Instrument technicians and electricians as part of this contracted resource. However, additional services or works may be required and this is not an exhausted list. The service will be for 3years, with an option to extend for a period of 2 years at ESBs discretion.

The contracting entity has procured maintenance services for EV charging infrastructure, as required, across Ireland (the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

• The MPLS Service would provide Corporate and Operational Network Services to locations, throughout the whole of the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK. • The service would carry business critical voice, video and data traffic and operational traffic over the IP protocol. • The operational traffic would be part of the monitoring and control infrastructure for the ESB power network. • The service provided must be highly available and reliable and provide mechanisms for quickly upgrading capacity when required.

The Contracting Entity intends to procure a contract for the Supply, Maintenance, and Support of Hydro Control Centre (HCC) SCADA Upgrade.It is proposed that the Contract will include: Design, acquire the hardware, develop the software, assemble and work test, supply and deliver to the sites, erect, test at the sites, commission and optimise the HMI for the HCC SCADA system. It is not intended to replace the existing PLC’s and hardware which directly interface to the plant. The SCADA system shall interface with the PLCs and hardware in such a manner that full operation and monitoring facilities are available. It must also integrate with the ESB Enterprise Network. The HCC controls, operates and monitors 10 geographically separate sites controlling 20 hydro generating units and associated water controls. Local control is required for maintenance purposes, test purposes and for operating the plant under normal/fault conditions.The system shall be supported over its lifetime.
