Contract for Services, ref. 4500483789 The UNESCO Regional Office for Culture in Latin America and the Caribbean is implementing the Transcultura Programme: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity (hereafter called ‘the Transcultura Programme’), funded by the European Union. This four-year programme seeks to foster cultural integration between Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union, and engages partners within the geographic scope of the 17 Member States of CARICOM, CARIFORUM and OECS. In particular, the programme component on capacity-building aims to establish a Caribbean Cultural Training Hub on the cultural and creative industries. Within this framework, there is a need to implement an offer of presential courses targeting young experts and professionals of the cultural and creative industries in the Caribbean. Under the overall authority of the Coordinator of the Programme and under the supervision of the Programme Officer for the Cultural Training Hub, the contractor shall: I. Deliver four (4) 2-week presential courses in English and Spanish for 12 participants each. Courses will be delivered by the Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos Workshop School of Havana as follows: 1 on traditional trades for heritage restoration, 1 on blacksmithing, 1 on glazier and 1 on plasterwork. In particular, the Contractor shall: a) develop a detailed course schedule; b) develop the pedagogical design of the courses, as well as the pre-course test and post-course test templates for each course; c) enrol the 48 participants and provide them with on-boarding guidance (name badges required); d) administer and review pre-course tests to all students for each course, deliver courses, and administer and review post-course tests to all students for each course; e) ensure the translation of course materials, pre-course tests (template and individual tests) and template of post-course tests (before the courses) and post-course individual tests (after the courses); f) offer simultaneous interpretation services English-Spanish-English throughout each course; II. Provide full services (boarding, lodging, transportation, medical insurance) to 48 participants.
