Tender Results of Beaumont Hospital

The Contracting Authority, in partnership with HSE Estates, is currently developing two key infrastructural projects of national importance on the main Beaumont Hospital campus: • New Emergency Department; • New Acute Ward Block Development. To ensure compliance with the Public Spending Code (PSC), as published by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, a Strategic Assessment Report and a Preliminary Business Case are required for both of the above projects. The successful consultant identified by this process shall assume responsibility for producing the required reports, taking cognisance of the fact that design teams for both projects have been appointed and preliminary design work is underway.

The Contracting Authority intends to appoint a legal services provider with demonstrable experience of the healthcare sector and a sufficient breadth and depth of expertise to act as a ‘full service’ legal advisor to them. It is envisioned that this competition shall result in the attainment of the optimum balance between the quality and cost of service. Additionally, where possible, the Contracting Authority intends to implement fixed fee arrangements for transactional work, which will serve to delivery cost certainty.

The Contracting Authority requires the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of a duplex reverse osmosis system for use with eight washer / disinfectors in its Central Sterile Supplies Department at Beaumont Hospital. Following the expiry of a warranty period of twelve months’ duration, a contract for the support and maintenance of the equipment of four years’ duration will be awarded. The Contracting Authority reserves the right, upon the expiry of this four-year contract, to award subsequent contracts governing the support and maintenance of the equipment, each of twelve months in duration, until the obsolescence of the tendered equipment.

The Contracting Authority requires two tissue processors for use in its Histopathology Laboratory. Initially, the successful tenderer will be required to supply, install and commission the required equipment. Following the expiry of a warranty period of twelve months’ duration, a contract for the support and maintenance of the equipment of four years’ duration will be awarded. The Supply, Support and Maintenance of Air Cleaners/Purifiers-The Contracting Authority requires approximately 100 air cleaner/purifiers for use in patient rooms and Hospital wards. Approximately 80 of the proposed air cleaner / purifiers must be suitable for a space with a floor area of 50m2 and 20 must be suitable for a space with a floor area of 20m2.The successful tenderer shall be required to supply the required equipment in addition to providing support and maintenance for the tendered equipment.
