We would like to purchase ECO2 FluX chambers to use in determinating greenhouse gas fluxes (GHG) from different ecosystems with high temporal resolution. This specific chamber is necessary for accurate quantification of GHG fluxes from ecosystems to support or modify currently used national GHG emissions factors for agricultural peatland. In addition, these chambers will allow better investigation of processes leading to the measured net ecosystem exchange of CO2, N2O and methane.

The Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at Aarhus University wishes to purchase a system that can formulate and functionalize nanoparticles through microfluidics. Specifically, we need a nanoassembler that offer a high degree of control of the particle assembly by enabling precise adjustments and control of the fluid flow rates and ratios. This will allow for generation of particles with great uniformity and minimum batch to batch variance. The aim of the research is to optimize the best formulations for the encapsulation and organ targeted delivery of RNA (mRNA, circRNA, small RNAs) and protein therapeutics through a more control way toward clinical applications.

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) at Aarhus University wishes to purchase a high-end laser scanning confocal microscope that can be integrated into the departments imaging facility. The aim is to support the many different research groups at the department, who need to image very diverse samples including cells, plants, and zebrafish with sub-diffraction-limit resolution and with high sensitivity. For example, we require the highest possible resolution and sensitivity to study organization patterns of membrane proteins, local translation in neurons and receptor trafficking and signaling in plants.
