The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing similar works within the last five years. The similar works should be of a certain value, which can be any of the following: - At least one “similar work” of value of Rs.119.84 lakh or more - At least two “similar works” each of value of Rs.74.90 lakh or more - At least three “similar works” each of value of Rs.59.92 lakh or more Substantial completion is defined as 80% (value-wise) or more works completed under the contract. In case of joint venture/ Consortium, full value of the work, if done by the same joint venture shall be considered. However, if the qualifying work(s) were done by them in JV/Consortium having different constituents or percentage participation, then the value of work as per their percentage participation in such JV/Consortium shall be considered. For joint ventures or consortia with foreign partners, the foreign partner must have executed works of total value Rs. 59.92 lakh or more outside their country. The work experience of only substantial partner (partner with share of 26% or more in the JV/ Consortium) shall be considered for evaluating of JV/ Consortium. The bidder should have experience of executing at least one "similar work" valued at a minimum of Rs.59.92 lakhs or more in the last 05 years. In case of a joint venture (JV)/Consortium, each substantial partner must have a minimum of 26% participation and experience of executing at least one "similar work" valued at a minimum of Rs.59.92 lakhs or more in the last 05 years. Non-substantial partners, with a minimum of 20% participation, should have experience of executing at least one Civil work of minimum value of Rs.29.96 lakhs in the last 05 years. The definition of “similar works” includes any work consisting of individual or a combination of activities like construction, maintenance, repairs, painting, retrofitting of Buildings and/or bridges or similar structures. No specific percentage of similar works is mentioned. Additionally, the bidder should not have had a contract of value more than 10% of NIT cost of work rescinded or terminated by DMRC or any other Metro Organization due to non-performance in the last 3 years. The value of work done shall be updated to the last day of the month previous to the month of tender submission price level assuming 5% inflation for Indian contracts every year.
