The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing specific categories of work(s) during the last 07 years. These categories are: (i) Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, (ii) Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, (iii) One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor must have completed at least one similar work costing not less than 35% of the value of work to be subletted in the last 5 years, unless the subletting work costs up to Rs 50 lakh, in which case no previous experience is required. The similar nature of work includes "Mechanized Cleaning through machine using processes" or "Mechanized Cleaning of coaches". Additionally, the available bid capacity, which is related to prior work experience, should be equal to or more than the total value of the present tender, calculated as Available Bid Capacity = [A x N x 2] - 0.33xNxB, where A represents the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year.
