2. In Situ tests : (a) S.P.T. as per I.S 2131-1981

(i) S.P.T. at 1 m interval upto 5 mt from ground level

(ii) S.P.T. at 2 m interval beyond 5 mt to10 mt from ground level

Laboratory tests as per relevent B.I.S Specification subheads & inter works preparation & submission reports

a) Liquid limit/plastic limit (for all SPT/disturbed/undistrubed sampled. b) Shrinkage limit only on limited samples (werever liqued limit is >50). C) Grain size distribution using sieve analysis (wherever silty+clay content is . D) Hydrometer analysis (wherever silty + clay content is more than 15%). e) Unconfined compression test on undistrubed samples from cohesive). f) Consolidation test (only on undistrubed samples from cohesive layer). g) Triaxial test (only on undistrubed samples from cohesive layer). h)Chemical test on water for choride, carbonate, sulphate content. i) Compressive strength of rocks as per IS 1121 (Part-I). j) Transverse strength of rock as per IS 1121 (Part-II). k) Tensile strength of rock as per IS 1121 (Part-III). l) Shear strength of rock as per IS 1121 (Part-IV). m) Determination of true specific gravity as per IS 1122. n) Determination of waer absorption as per IS 1124. o) Determination of toughness of rock. Preparation & submission of report in quadriplicate including soil profiles and lab test results and recommendation for type of foundation for RCC LH tower of 25m height.
