Tenders of Military Engineer Services

The Military Engineer Services (MES) is one of the oldest and largest government defence infrastructure-development agencies in India. It is an inter-service organisation with military and civilian components of its officers and subordinate staff. It undertakes construction work on a contractual basis but maintenance is taken care of by departmentally-employed labour (DEL).It is a government organization which was formed on 26th September 1923 in New Delhi.MES is primarily employed in engineering and construction for the Indian Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the DRDO. It also undertakes complex projects like hospitals, airfields, buildings, workshops, roads, runways, dockyards, and other marine structures. MES has also been entrusted with the construction of the Indian National War Memorial.‘MES' military component includes Indian Army Corps of Engineers officers. Also, the civilian component consists of the Indian Defence Service Engineers (IDSE) and the Indian Defence Contract Management Service (IDCMS).
