2. How to enroll as a bidder on the eProcurement Tamil Nadu website?
Visit https://tntenders.gov.in/nicgep/app . Under the Login button, there will be another tab for "Online Bidder Enrollment". Click on it, and you will be redirected to the webpage of Online Enrollment of Corporate/Bidder. Fill in the details asked in this online form and submit your registration application.
3. Is EMD mandatory to bid for Tamilnadu tenders?
Yes. EMD or the Earnest Money Deposit is a necessary payment to be made when placing a bid. This is to establish the authenticity of the bidder. Depending on the T&Cs, this amount can be refunded.
4. What is DSC, and why is it needed for bidding on a Tamil Nadu tender online?
Just like your physical signature is required when making an offline bid on paper, your electronic signature is mandatory to be added to your bidding application. This is called the Digital Signature Certificate and is issued by an agency authorized by the Controller of Certifying Authorities in India.
