Via Is Looking To Prequalify A Supplier For The Supply And Delivery Of Wooden Railway Ties Which, At A Minimum, Meet The Following Specifications: 1)            New No. 1 Hardwood Grade Railway Ties 2)            New Hardwood Grade Switch Ties 3)            Crossing Planks

Via Is Operating A Fleet Of Fifty-one (51) Gpa-30h Locomotives, That Were Built By General Motors (emd) From 1986 To 1989. The Objective Of This Project Is To Further Extend The Expected Lifetime Of Thirty-nine (39) Gpa-30h Locomotives Until 2035 By Restoring System Performance And Increasing Reliability. In Order To Better Respond To Its Commercial Needs And Operational Constraints, Via Is Looking To Analyze The Possibility Of Overhauling The Locomotives According To A Fixed And Optional Number Of Units, As Explained In The Itt Scope Of Work. It Is To Be Noted That This Program Is Not Related To Via’s Long-distance, Regional And Remote Fleet Renewal Project (ldrr). Note: Considering The Impending Winter Holidays, We Have Decided To Initiate The Tender Process Ahead Of Time To Accommodate Potential Scheduling Challenges That May Arise During This Period. By Releasing The Tender Earlier, We Aim To Provide Suppliers With Ample Time To Prepare And Submit Their Proposals.
