Details: Gateshead Council (the Council), Require A Contractor Who Can Provide A Fully Managed And Comprehensive Tyre Supply Service, Inclusive Of Maintenance, Fitting And Associated Services. This Requirement Is To Be Supplied By A Single Contractor. The Contract Will Provide 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week, 52 Weeks Of The Year Cover For All Tyre Replacement And Repair Service. The Contractor And Any Sub-contractor(s) Are Required To Adhere To Current Transport Legislation And Comply With Current Environmental Legislation, With Regards To Tyre Disposal Methods. The Council Operates A Fleet Of Approximately 300 Council Owned And 450 Hire Vehicles (in Addition To Short Term Hire) Ranging From; • Car Derived Vans And Light Commercial Vehicles (under 3.5 Tonne) • Vehicles Over 3.5 Tonne Including Specialist Vehicles • Refuse Collection Vehicles (up To 26 Tonne) • Plant Vehicles (ranging From Ride On Mowers To Agricultural Tractors). The Councils Requirement Will Cover A Managed Service At The Councils Depot(s) In Addition To A Roadside Service.
