The Two Main Objective Of Esa Bics Are To: Support Entrepreneurs With A Space-based Business Idea Create And Grow Clusters Of Space Related Start-ups Across Europe. All Esa Bics Are Managed By Local Incubators With Experience In Supporting Start-ups.they Have Good Connections With Local Industry, Universities, Research Organisations, As Well As Relevant Government Agencies And Investor Communities. Esa Bics Follow The Esa Bic Common Approach To Business Incubation. So Far, The Network Of Esa Bics Has Supported More Than 1700 Start-ups. Esa Bic Portugal Was First Setup In 2014 And Operated In Three Locations (coimbra, Lisbon And Porto) Leveraging On Existing Business Incubation Excellence. Esa Bic Portugal Is Nowadays A Well-established And Well-known Initiative In Portugal Operating In Multiple Locations In Mainland Portugal As Well As In The Autonomous Regions Of Azores And Madeira.the Portuguese Space Agency Wishes To Continue The Operation Of Esa Bic Portugal With A New Contract Under Esa's Scale Up Programme. This Contract Is Going To Be Procured Following An Invitation To Tender. The Objective Is To Find And Support 30 Space-related Incubatees Over An Active Period Of Three Years, With Additional Two Years Added To The Contract Duration To Support Any Incubatees Remaining Inthe Incubator. Each Selected Incubatee Shall Be Entitled To An Incentive Funding Of At Least 60keur, With 30keur Coming From Esa And The Remaining Part To Be Provided By A Local Co-funding Partner.
