Public tender Vob/a Kita Sachsenweg extension building - metal construction work (fire doors / side entrance door) The magistrate of the city of Rüsselsheim am Main intends to dismantle the old pavilion and build a permanent extension of approx. 330 sqm onto the existing building in its place due to the increasing demand. The pavilion was demolished at the beginning of 2024. The single-storey extension with an area of 276.4 sqm takes up the line of the existing building in the south. The setback in the east results from the location of a plane tree worth preserving. On the north side, the extension is positioned on the northern property boundary in border development. A recess indicates the second daycare entrance that is to be created, which will serve as an escape route. Two south-facing group rooms with side rooms, a north-east-facing multi-purpose room and a toilet area with a disabled toilet are accessible from the central foyer with cloakrooms. The internal connection of the group and side rooms, which are of equal size, enables cross-group work. The single-storey construction means that children of all ages and the care staff can move around the building easily and without thresholds. Each common room has an exit to the outside area. External doors and windows are made of plastic and the side entrance door is made of aluminum. The interventions in the ground floor of the existing building are limited to reducing the size of the current staff room in favor of creating an office for the daycare center management and a room for convection ovens to serve the kitchen. Both rooms will each have a new window. A small kitchen in the former apartment of the daycare center manager will be given up in favor of a cleaning room. After the BSK, three sections will be created on the ground floor (t30 Rs in the hallway/kitchen). In the basement, the room to the west of the stairs will be used as a new staff room, which will be illuminated via a new light shaft. Two storage rooms will be created to the east of the stairs. The existing electrical installations are to be renewed, which will lead to repair work on site.

Public tender Vob/a Kita Sachsenweg extension building - heating technology Building description Heating The heating of the building (old building and new building) is achieved using a monovalent air-water heat pump. This has the advantage that the building can be heated without fossil fuels. The building heating load for the unrenovated old building including the new building was calculated at around 76 kW. Our planning envisages that the existing gas boiler will be eliminated and replaced by the heat pump. The heat pump we have planned can also supply the existing radiators in the old building without any problems. After the old building has been renovated, the heating load for the new building and the old building would be around 55 kW. The planned monovalent heat pump covers an output range of 50 - 78 kW and is therefore sufficiently dimensioned for the case (old building not renovated and later renovated). A heat meter is provided for the heat pump. The indoor unit is installed in the existing boiler room of the existing building. The outdoor unit is installed directly in front of the heating center; a corresponding fenced-in area is to be provided for it. The outdoor unit is positioned so that there is enough space for maintenance and repairs. The renovation of the pipes and the distributor (limited to the boiler room) is part of the measure. The existing electric hot water preparation in the existing building will be retained. All heating pipes outside the heating center and the existing radiators will also be retained. The control is to be carried out via the GLT. This is assessed in the Kg 480. In the existing building, the cables are laid below the floor ceiling to the ground floor. In the new building, the supply cables to the underfloor heating distributors are laid within the floor structure. All cables are made of stainless steel. The cables are laid in accordance with DIN 4108, and the thermal insulation is carried out in accordance with Geg.

Public tender Vob/a Kita Sachsenweg extension building - plumbing work Construction description Plumbing The new extension will have a new washroom and a toilet facility for children as well as a toilet for staff. From the existing building, the extension will have a new drinking water supply. This leads through the basement of the existing building and is fed into the new building within a facing shell. As the new building has no basement, the drinking water pipe will be laid within the floor structure. The hot water supply is decentralized via a 21 kW instantaneous water heater, which will be placed in the washroom. Drinking water hygiene will be achieved via a central flushing system, which is time and temperature dependent. The extension will have a new underground pipe system with a new transfer shaft to the public sewer system. The sanitary facilities must be connected to the underground pipe connections within the stud walls.
