Negotiated award with public participation competition (service) Preparation of an integrated urban development concept (ISEK) for the city of Hattersheim am Main Preparation of an integrated urban development concept (ISEK) for the city of Hattersheim am Main The city of Hattersheim am Main is located in the Main-Taunus district in southern Hesse and consists of three districts - Hattersheim, Eddersheim and Okriftel. There are currently 28,635 inhabitants living in an urban area of around 15.82 km² (Hesse State Office for Statistics, as of September 30, 2023). The city is centrally located in the triangle of cities Frankfurt, Mainz and Wiesbaden and in the immediate vicinity of Taunus and Rheingau. Neighboring communities are the independent city of Frankfurt am Main with the district of Sindlingen to the northeast, the city of Kelsterbach to the southeast, the city of Raunheim to the southwest, and the cities of Flörsheim am Main and Hofheim am Taunus to the north and the community of Kriftel to the west. Thanks to its central location in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main metropolitan region, Hattersheim am Main has very good transport links. There are two motorway connections to the A 66. There are other motorways (A 3, A 5, A 67) and the B40 federal highway in the immediate vicinity of the city. Hattersheim am Main is also well connected to public transport via the S-Bahn stations in the districts of Eddersheim and Hattersheim and a bus system. Frankfurt Airport is in the immediate vicinity and can be reached in around ten minutes by car. Hattersheim am Main is designated as a medium-sized center in the regional plan of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main regional association. The city has experienced population growth of around 10.8% within 10 years and is currently one of the fastest growing cities in the region. Thanks to its good location and connections in the middle of the Rhine-Main area between the state capitals of Mainz and Wiesbaden and the city of Frankfurt, the city has continued to develop into a particularly attractive business location in recent years. The increased number of companies settling there and the associated designation of commercial areas is having an impact on the demand for workers and thus also on the need for housing and the utilization of infrastructure. The increase in population and the increasing importance of the city as a business location offers potential for a wide range of positive developments, but at the same time also presents the city with major challenges. --- In order to be able to react to the changing framework conditions and develop the city in a future-oriented way, the city of Hattersheim am Main intends to develop an integrated urban development concept (ISEK) in dialogue with the citizens, companies and politicians. The Isek is intended to cover the entire urban area (almost 16 km²) of Hattersheim am Main and to have a significant impact on future urban development. The aim is to make the city and its three districts fit for the future and to develop guidelines and objectives as well as an implementation strategy. If a need for action is identified, areas and measures for urban development funding are also to be identified and thus an initial basis for applying for funding is to be created. The target horizon is 2040. --- As part of this process, the services for the creation of the Isek are to be awarded (see Appendix 02, Service Catalogue). The services for the participation process will be awarded separately.
