Since Early 2023, The Community Wellbeing Project (cwp) Has Been Piloted To Trial The Delivery Of A Support Model Focused On Providing Access To Hot Lunch And Evening Meals, Weekly Food Shopping, As Well As Providing Comprehensive Wraparound Support To Members. The Aim Of The Scheme Is To Increase Community Resilience, Tackle Food Insecurity And Provide Holistic Interventions To Better Support Residents In The Long Term, And To Prevent Vulnerable Families From Experiencing Severe Financial Crisis. Evaluation Of The Community Wellbeing Project Pilot Model Has Shown It Is Effective In Supporting Residents Both Through Its Core Purpose, As Well As By Connecting Them With Aligned Services And Other Local Support. Brent Council Officers Have Further Developed And Aligned The Pilot Service To Become A Core Part Of A More Cohesive, Sustainable And Longer-term Model.
