The Council Has A Statutory Duty To Collect And Arrange For The Receipt And Disposal Of Household Waste And Other Waste Arising Within Bath And North East Somerset. This Includes Domestic Waste Collected Direct From Householders At The Kerbside And That Taken To Its Three Household Waste Recycling Centres. The Council Is Seeking To Award A Contract For The Receipt And Treatment Of Garden Waste Commencing On 13th March 2023 And Continuing For An Initial Term Of 1 Year With An Option For The Council To Extend The Contract On One Or More Occasions Up To A Further 1 Year.

The Council Is Seeking To Appoint A Highly Experienced Contractor With Demonstrable Experience In Managing Bridge Demolition Works In Similar Environments. The Successful Tenderer Must Be Able To Demonstrate Significant Experience In The Role Of Main Contractor / Principal Contractor As The Works Require Extensive Pre-planning Co-ordination Beyond The Actual Task Of The On-site Demolition Activity.tenderers Should Note The Bridge Is Located Within The Boundary Of A World Heritage Site And Has Constrained Access. The Bridge Spans The River Avon Requiring Access Co-ordination And A Working Methodology Acceptable To The Environment Agency (ea) And The Canals & Rivers Trust (crt).
