Transferring and Processing Garden Waste – Furness Area-Westmorland and Furness Council (the Council) is inviting tenders for a Provider to accept and handle green garden waste collected in the Furness collection area. Tenders will only be accepted from Providers who can provide this service for all the materials specified. The area covers the south and west of the authority and is provided by vehicles operating from the Council’s depots in Barrow and Ulverston.

CWF Lot 2A - Nichol Gill Culvert Stitching and Masonry Repairs-An inspection undertaken by Westmorland and Furness Council in November 2024 identified several defects to the structure that resulted in an immediate TTRO being implemented to close the U3016 to all traffic. The TTRO is in place until May 2026 and a signed diversion route is also currently in place The contract will be to undertake stitching to the downstream arch barrel along with various masonry repairs to the structure.
