Multi-Collector ICP-MS-Provision of a high resolution Multi-Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS) instrument, and supporting service and maintenance contract at the Cambourne School of Mines, Penryn Campus, Cornwall. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Collaboration agreement relating to PET-CT Scanning-As part of a wider collaboration, Alliance will be providing operators to operate the University of Exeter’s PET-CT scanner within the Mireille Gillings Neuroimaging Centre for the University of Exeter’s research projects. As part of this collaboration, the University will also be supplying services enabling Alliance to utilise the PET-CT scanner to facilitate PET scanning for NHS England and private patients.

Whole genome sequencing services-The University has awarded a contract for whole genome sequencing services following an open tender exercise. We were unable to award the contract to the 1st ranked supplier, therefore, we have proceeded to award to the 2nd ranked supplier in accordance with the tender documents.

Critical Minerals Equipment Hub Consultancy-The Camborne School of Mines, located at the University of Exeter's Cornwall campus, requires a consultant to explore the possible working and funding models for the Critical Minerals Equipment Hub project. This will inform a detailed and ambitious business model and to meet the needs of the sectors we are facing. Further detail is provided in the tender documents. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The Role of Warranties and Guarantees in Improving Resource Efficiency-We seek to understand the potential for varied approaches to the provision and communication of warranties and guarantees to support longer product lifetimes & better value for consumers; the impact (if any) on product design; the potential for waste prevention and reduction to environmental and carbon footprints across their full lifecycle. We also wish to be appraised of the potential unintended consequences, for example longer warranties simply leading to more replacements.
