Cytoflex S flow cytometer-The existing 5 laser Fortessa is often booked to maximum capacity, resulting in long waiting times for researchers for who the capacity of the Cytoflex in its current set up is not sufficient. Additionally, the Cytoflex as it is a newer instrument easier to operate. StartUp and Calibration can be done independently of facility staff, unlike the Fortessa. S200 Singulator-The end user requires a machine that can automatically (hands-off to reduce human-induced errors) produce standardised and reproducible tissue dissociation solutions. Through market research the end user has identified the S2 Genomics Singulator™ 200 as being the only unit capable of meeting this requirement. (SC Ref:767107)

Autoclaves & Washers-(SC Ref:766701) The Queen’s Medical Research Institute (QMRI) has received funding to purchase 2 x Autoclaves and 2 x Glasswashers. This equipment is essential to the facility and is used to sterilise biological waste before removal from the site and to clean laboratory glassware.

Pharmacovigilance System-(SC Ref:764195) Procurement of a Phramacovigilance system to support the data entry, processing and reporting of drug and device adverse events for a portfolio of academic clinical research led by the University of Edinburgh.

Air Showers - QMRI-(SC Ref:762787) As part of The Queen’s Medical Research Institute (QMRI) redevelopment, there will be a purpose-built animal behaviour facility with connected access via the link bridge to The Biological Research Facility (BRF) in Chancellors building. The entry point from the QMRI will require users to change prior to entry to the facility through Air Showers.
