The microscope will be used for diagnostic examinations with Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridisation (FISH). This involves the use of probes for the detection of rearranging, fusions, amplification and deletion in specific genes. The microscope will also be used for diagnositc examinations with immunofluorescence technique (IMF). An equivalent instrument must be offered as an option.

The contracting authority of this tender contest is Sykehusbygg HF [the Norwegian Hospital Construction Agency] and is carried out by Sykehusinnkjøp HF [the Norwegian Hospital Procurement Trust].. The objective of the procurement is image management for operating theatres, a total of 11 operating theaters, respectively 5 for Nye Hammerfest Hospital (Finnmarkssykehuset HF) and 6 for Nye UNN Narvik (University Hospital North Norway HF). Helse Nord [Northern Norway Regional Health Authority] requests a holistic image management system and therefore wants to enter into a joint contract with a supplier of image management.
