Medical Examiner for foster carer, connected person and special guardian applicants-We require a provider to deliver a service to complete medical examinations and examiner summaries in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost in order to improve our assessment process and access to panel. The Authority intends to enter into a Contract for an initial period of 12 months, with an option to extend by mutual agreement for up to a further 24 months. The anticipated Contract commencement date is 01.04.2024. Maximum potential term of the contract will be until 31.03.2027

Regulation 44 Inspections-Somerset Council has a duty to inspect Children's Homes under Regulation 44 of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015. The Local Authority would like a provider to assess its homes which are managed in Partnership with The Shaw Trust Charity and run by Homes to Inspire. These homes are predominantly for teenagers with complex needs, who may display challenging behaviour, including self-harm.

Somerset Bridge Primary School Lighting Upgrade-As part of the Capital Maintenance Programme, it has been identified that there is a need to undertake works to replace the existing Fluorescent Light fittings with new LED fittings to provide a reduction in running costs and carbon footprint along with providing much better LUX levels.

Priddy Primary Foul Drainage System and Surfacing-Priddy Primary currently has a foul drainage system which is not able to capture the waste produced. This scheme will implement a GRAF foul waste treatment plant as approved by the EA with infiltration cells that cleans and disperses the waste into the ground. The scheme will also provide a new tarmac surface around the school and a regraded and seeded grass area.
