The sample preparation for carbon dating requires the reduction of the sample's CO2 to pure carbon. A lack of capacity of the reduction system creates a bottleneck in the laboratory and limits the number of samples that can be dated. We expect the number of samples to remain stable or increase in the coming years. We would also like available capacity for research projects and research collaboration.
