The NTA intends to significantly expand and improve public transport services in the coming years and is doing so through initiatives such as BusConnects and Connecting Ireland. There will be additional services/routes and vehicles, and higher customer expectations for reliability of journey times, interchange and durations, and so the need for tools to assist with the provision of good quality services as well as to deliver reliable Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) will only increase in the future. The NTA aims to establish a contract with a suitable supplier, which will replace the existing public transport bus AVL systems and provide, operate and maintain a national AVL system for its PSO Bus Operators and include an AVL Lite solution offering to Local Link Services, smaller Bus Operators and Commercial Bus Operators.

The National Transport Authority (NTA) plans to implement a Consolidated Contact Centre (CCC), located on the island of Ireland, under the Transport For Ireland (TFI) brand. The NTA is seeking to engage a suitable party to provide the following services: to own and drive the mobilisation of the new CCC and transition of the existing customer contact capabilities to a CCC; to deliver a solution set to enable the CCC to meet its desired business outcomes and enable the CCC to meet business SLAs & KPIs; to manage the running of the CCC and corresponding processes and systems to support all customer interaction; to drive continuous improvement across the CCC to maximise customer experience & efficiency; to achieve & maintain compliance in relation to PCI, GDPR, Irish language and security standards; to manage operational risks; and to enable the NTA to meet its accessibility requirements. The Future Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) Displays procurement will set up a contract for the supply of Light Emitting Diode (LED) RTPI Displays. These RTPI Displays need to be similar to the Authority’s existing displays but supplying new display, power and maintenance technologies including any required fixtures and fittings necessary for installation to poles or shelters. Future RTPI Displays will interface with an existing RTPI back office system via a single board computer, thus the focus of this procurement is on the supply of interoperable RTPI Displays only and does not include supply of back office systems, installation or maintenance activities.

The Authority intends to establish a framework of service providers for the Provision of Consultancy Quantity Surveying Services for Transport Projects funded by the National Transport Authority by entering into a framework agreement with a maximum of ten Tenderers who are ranked highest following assessment of the submitted Tenders. The list of service elements forming the Services are indicative only, are not exhaustive and are subject to change. The expected term of the framework will be three years with an option to extend for a further year at the sole discretion of the Authority. In addition, The Authority intends to enter into a contract with the most economically advantageous tenderer for the provision of Provision of Advisory Services to the NTA for Dun Laoghaire Central, Active Travel Improvements scheme.

The core objective of the Services is the provision of an Active Travel Support Office providing design and review services to assist in the delivery of Active Travel projects across the State. It is intended that the Active Travel Support Office will be collocated in the Authority’s offices in Dublin city centre on at least 2 days each week. It will comprise of a number of personnel provided by the Service Provider and based in these offices (the “Core Design Team”), supplemented by off-site resources also provided by the Service Provider. The Service Provider will also be required to undertake the role of Project Supervisor Design Process in relation to the design stages of the projects that are undertaken by the Service Provider. In addition to the primary role of design development of projects, the Service Provider will also be expected to undertake other work related to sustainable transport provision.
