The NTA intends to significantly expand and improve public transport services in the coming years and is doing so through initiatives such as BusConnects and Connecting Ireland. There will be additional services/routes and vehicles, and higher customer expectations for reliability of journey times, interchange and durations, and so the need for tools to assist with the provision of good quality services as well as to deliver reliable Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) will only increase in the future. The NTA aims to establish a contract with a suitable supplier, which will replace the existing public transport bus AVL systems and provide, operate and maintain a national AVL system for its PSO Bus Operators and include an AVL Lite solution offering to Local Link Services, smaller Bus Operators and Commercial Bus Operators.

As per the Prior Information Notice, published on 5 January 2024, the Central Bank of Ireland is currently commencing a project to outsource its collector coin function. This project will involve a competitive tender for the services required, and it is anticipated that the tender will be published in 2024. While this project completes, the Central Bank has a requirement for an online platform for the sale and marketing of the collector coins it issues. Based on our market research, the Central Bank is satisfied that competition is absent for technical reasons and there is only one supplier capable of meeting our current requirements.

Dublin City Council seeks to establish a single party framework agreement for the provision of a waste enforcement service for an initial period of 4 years, from the date of commencement, and the contract may be extended for a further period of not more than 24 months, subject to the annual, periodic and other reviews, at the sole discretion of the Council. While it is envisaged that the contract will be for a 6 year period, the award of and duration of the contract is strictly subject to the provision of a sufficient annual grant from the Department of Environment Climate and Comunications (DECC).
