In order to prepare for future risk assessment challenge/needs, EFSA will further support the integration of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in the risk assessment of chemicals and the harmonisation of risk assessment methodology. In this context, EFSA identified the toxicological assessment of metabolites as a suitable framework to start practically implementing the use of NAMs in risk assessment.

The main objective of the present procurement procedure is to select one or more providers for the development, delivery and evaluation of a leadership development programme for EFSA’s managerial community over the next 4 years. Components of the programme may be attended also by staff in positions such as programme managers, chief scientists and HR business partners.

Overall purpose of this call for tenders is to develop a roadmap for action that will characterise the current state of play on aggregate exposure assessment and identity what needs to be done to achieve EFSA’s vision.

The objective of this call for tender is to acquire support in: (a) scientific data management, (b) scientific data management best practices consultancy, (c) scientific data analysis, (d) scientific data quality, (e) trainings, including on the job training activities and workshops; these activities could be provided both on premises (at EFSA or in other EU countries) and online. The activities will be requested in terms of support, as well as development of products and services. Given the extent of activities the full feature support will include: continuous improvement, maintenance, and change management processes. The services (a to d) can be provided in terms of full feature services and can be deployed and run in EFSA premises, third party premises in the cloud environment. The training activities (e) include workshops, training courses, participation to meetings can be held both on premises (at EFSA or in other EU countries) and online.

The purpose of this contract is to prepare and improve the upcoming reports and to produce several interactive online AMR data visualisation dashboards, AMR story maps and DataVIZ to innovate and enhance the communication of this report and raise awareness of AMR. The online dashboards and DataVIZ should show large volumes of related aggregated (summarised) AMR data and analysis results interactively, in a quick, robust and creative way. The AMR story maps will focus on storytelling and putting a context, while also displaying related evidence-based information.

The aim of this procurement is to execute a project to support the development of advanced in vitro and in silico ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion) models and databases for next generation risk assessment (NGRA) of chemicals using illustrative case studies.

The aim of this procurement procedure is to conclude on a direct contract for the execution of specific tasks over a clearly defined period as defined in this tender specification. The main objective of this roadmap for action is to define EFSA priorities for the wide integration of omics and associated bioinformatics approaches in food regulatory science (by 2030) to support the transition into next generation risk assessment.

Lot 2 – Provision of plain language summaries (PLS) of EFSA scientific outputs that are accessible for informed non-technical audiences. This contract award notice is relative to the third framework contract (FWC) in cascade for lot 2.

The overarching goal of the project is to define, validate and apply a standardised workflow (experimental and computational) for deriving reliable human reference points and HBGVs using cutting edge in-vitro approaches, namely organ-on-a-chip (OoC) platforms and multiple OMICs endpoints (transcriptomics, metabolomics, epigenomics).

The aim of this procurement is to develop a roadmap for action in the area (scientific theme) of evidence-based risk communication in the EU food safety system by providing recommendations for research priorities to support the implementation of risk communication according to the principles defined in the Transparency Regulation.
