RDE182 Review of the use of stochastic and other approaches in water resource management-The aim of the project is to reflect on water resource planning to date and to look for opportunities to continually improve our approach. More specifically, the project will review the science behind currently used stochastic methods and the performance of existing data products, both within the UK and internationally.

Catchment Sensitive Farming - Air Quality Modelling and Monitoring-This contract is a core piece of work to inform the evaluation of the impact of Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) on air quality. Monitoring and evaluation are core elements of CSF. Evaluation of the efficacy of the programme in improving air quality, will help inform decisions on the future of CSF. This will include ongoing programme design and reinvestment as well as informing wider policy development.

Catchment Sensitive Farming - Pesticide Catchment Modelling-The project is to model levels of contemporary agricultural pesticides in eight river catchments monitored as part of Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF). The project will use the extensive time series of monitoring data available to calibrate an existing model to simulate the observed pesticide levels. The calibrated model will then be used in the evaluation and scenario testing of the range of CSF work with farmers to reduce pesticides at a catchment scale.
