The UCD Conway Genomics Core Facility requires the provision and installation of a high throughput, benchtop, sequencer capable of massively parallel and deep sequencing of nucleic acids (e.g. Next Generation Sequencer (NGS). The Instrument should be capable of supporting a wide range of Sequencing based applications currently offered by the Genomics Core including, Small Whole Genome, Exome, Transcriptomics, Epigenetics and Single Cell. In particular, the system should be compatible with 10 X Genomics derived single cell libraries. The Next Generation Sequencer will also form part of the National Spatial Tissue Profiling (NaSPro) Platform for Precision Medicine and as such will facilitate downstream molecular profiling of both bulk tissues and isolated single cell populations. This Robotic Cell Characterisation Facility will will provide the capability for end-to-end, high-throughput, automated workflows to deliver comprehensive profiles of phenotypic states in 2D- and 3D systems. The system will be a unique, custom build, robotically controlled platform enabling high-throughput cell characterisation including phenotyping by flow cytometry, high content analysis, proteomics, and cell culture analysis. It will enable numerous automated workflows to be performed simultaneously, essentially facilitating analysis of any perturbation to cellular function by a large pool of compounds (e.g. combinatorial libraries) or in a number of model systems. The primary focus is on integration and automation of the overall system which is based on the computability and synergy of all components. Tenders are sought from relevantly qualified and experienced organisations for the supply of an Oral Fluid Based Preliminary Drug Testing (PDT) System. Equipment refers to all components required to conduct a drug test on the system. The part of the system which is responsible for the drug test will be referred to as the ‘Tester’. It must be possible to interpret the result of a Tester without the aid of an electronic device. It is envisaged that between 16,000 to 20,000 units will be required per annum with the most likely quantities being required in batches of 5,000 units or on occasion, 10,000 units. Any quantity discounts offered must apply for the duration of the Framework. Tenderers must be in a position to provide equipment and training as part of the evaluation process from the end of September 2021. It is anticipated that the evaluation process will take approximately six (6) months.
