Railways Tenders

Applying for Indian Railway tenders may seem technical at first, but once you are registered and get familiar with the process, it's quite systematic. Here's an easy guide based on the official IREPS user manual:

Step 1: Get Your System Ready

• Make sure that your hardware and software meet IREPS standards.
• Use supported browsers like Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
• Get a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) which has to be compatible with IREPS.

Download the guide titled Getting Your System Ready for IREPS Application from the Learning Center on www.ireps.gov.in.

Step 2: Register as a Vendor

• Visit the IREPS home page.
• In the left navigation panel, click on New Vendors/Contractors (E-Tender).
• Read the instructions and click Proceed.
• Insert your DSC USB token and follow the registration steps shown.
• Choose the tender type (e.g., Stores/ Supply Tenders).
• Fill the required fields and submit.

Within 3-4 working days, you’ll receive login credentials via email. This process is required to participate in any e tender in railway.

Step 3: Login to IREPS

• Insert your DSC and enter your credentials.
• First-time users must change their password.
• Once logged in, your Bidder Home Page will show tender opportunities tailored to your particular work area.

Step 4: Track and Bid for Tenders

• Navigate through the Left and Right blocks for Notifications, Profile Management, and Active Tenders.
• Search for relevant railway tender opportunities using filters like region, value, tender type, and due date.

Step 5: Identify the Right Tender

Use BidAssist to search for live railway tenders. You can filter by location, department (like IRCON, CORE, RITES), value, keywords, or tender type. Once you find a suitable railway tender, click to view full details.

Step 6: View the Tender Document

Click the "View Tender Document" icon to get the PDF document. It contains all relevant tender information—scope of work, item specifications, eligibility criteria, payment terms, required documents, and deadlines. Make sure your system has a PDF reader installed.

Step 7: Understand the Eligibility & Compliance

Very carefully go through the eligibility conditions. You may even get asked to confirm compliance (Yes/No), upload specific documents (like certificates, work experience), or add remarks.

Step 8: Check for Corrigendum

Regularly check for updates they give using the “Corrigendum” icon. Any changes in scope, cost, or deadlines will be shown here to make sure that you're always updated.

Step 9: Make Payment for TDC & EMD

Click on the “Make / View Payment” icon. For open tenders, this is visible to all users. Payments can be made:

• Online via SBI Net Banking or SBIePay Gateway (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking)
• Manual Mode (rare, mostly for foreign vendors)

Ensure you click the “Agreed” checkbox to proceed and complete the transaction. You will be redirected back to IREPS with payment status updates.

Step 10: Submit Your Bid

Prepare your bid as per the requirements, upload documents, confirm compliance, and digitally sign the submission using a DSC (Digital Signature Certificate). Make sure you do this before the deadline.
