The HKRDB or the Hyderabad Karnataka Region Development Board was instituted in November 2013 under the supervision of the Board, which roughly covers more than forty constituencies of Bellary, Koppal, Raichur, Bidar, Kalaburagi and Yadgir districts. This organization was set up by amendment of the constitution of India under Article 371 (j) that was created by the UPA Government in the year 2013 after a lot of efforts by the Union Minister for Railways. There are many members associated to HKRDB, but the most crucial one is the implementation committee that consist of the chairman, Secretary of the Board, CEOs, Deputy Commissioners of the five districts and departmental heads of Agriculture, Collegiate Education, Animal Husbandry, Health and Family Welfare, Social Welfare, Public Instruction Forest chief engineers who has authority over the Hyderabad Karnataka area and other officers who are appointed by the State Government. The primary mission of the HKRDB is to achieve rapid, inclusive growth and balanced regional development with social justice for all the districts that fall under the Hyderabad Karnataka Region. They strive to make this through Macro and Micro level planning by filling the historical developmental gaps in such a way that independently centers growth and periphery development. The allocated funds for the Micro Projects include sixty percent, and the macro projects the funds are near to forty percent (sector-wise), which fills the gap in Macro sectors that are identified according to the scale, scope, or both. But the best part is, the organization utilizes the reviews regarding the Regional Commissioner concerning the progress of projects. The Regional Commissioner and the Secretary of Hyderabad have directed officials who are concerned about completing the already granted works within a stipulated time. He also declared that the 2014-15 and 2015-16 tasks should be completed before September, and those taken up during 2016-17 and 2017-18 should be made ready before December this year. The Deputy Commissioner pointed out that many third party reports have not yet been submitted, which is delaying a lot of projects. He directed the Deputy Commissioner and the Chief Executive Officer to have district-level meetings regularly to ensure the progress of several project plans. The Deputy Commissioner finds it essential to maintain transparency during the implementation of projects that includes software for tracking and monitoring HKRDB activities. To accomplish HKRDB's mission, they release tenders on their official website, and you can also click on the "view" option to know about the tender details. But in case this format present on their website seems confusing to you, and it is becoming difficult to understand.
