Applying for an e tender in Kerala requires preparation and adherence to NIC’s strict digital bidding process. Here’s a simplified, step-by-step guide to help you navigate it:

Step 1: Enroll on the Kerala eProcurement Portal

• Go to etenders.kerala.gov.in
• Click “Click Here to Enroll” on the homepage.
• Complete your vendor registration.
• Obtain a Class III Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) from authorized providers like eMudhra or TCS.
• Register the DSC with your account (one DSC per account only).

Step 2: Prepare Your System

Ensure your computer is ready with:

• Original OS, good RAM, and stable high-speed internet (preferably broadband, not mobile data)
• A compatible browser with Java Runtime Environment configured
• Unrestricted portal access and enabled pop-ups

Step 3: Portal Login & Document Management

• Use your registered ID to log in
• Pre-upload required documents (GST, PAN, Purchase Orders, Work Experience, etc.) under “My Documents” for quick access during bidding

Step 4: Bid Preparation

• Download the tender documents and carefully review all instructions, timelines, and BOQ
• Prepare your technical and financial bids using accepted formats (PDF/XLS/RAR/DWF)
• Reduce file size using 75–100 DPI scans and correct naming (avoid special characters)

Step 5: Bid Submission

• Upload all documents and ensure payment of EMD/tender fees
• Use the “Freeze Bid” button to lock your submission. Unfrozen bids are invalid.
• After freezing, download and save the Bid Summary as proof of submission

Step 6: Confirmation

• Successful submission will generate a Bid ID and acknowledgment
• Bids are encrypted and opened only at the scheduled time using PKI technology

Important: If you withdraw your submitted bid, you will not be allowed to re-bid for the same tender.
