Construction and operation of public charging infrastructure (LIS) in the city of Fulda The city of Fulda is advertising the concession for the construction and operation of a publicly accessible charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The aim of the tender is to promote the needs-based expansion of the charging infrastructure by making public areas available in order to meet the increasing demand for charging points and to support the sustainable transport transition in Fulda. Background and objective: In order to strategically plan the expansion of the charging infrastructure, the city of Fulda has had an electromobility concept drawn up. In this concept, 14 locations with a total of 58 new charging points were identified, which are to be developed as a first step to meet future demand. In addition, there are currently 20 public charging points at seven locations in Fulda that are part of expiring contracting agreements. The future concessionaire will take over these existing charging points and integrate them into the expanded network. The concessionaire will be responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the charging infrastructure on public areas in the city of Fulda.
