Hoai 2021. The contract will be awarded in stages; the partial commissioning of service stages is reserved. Building 46 was built in 1989 and contains various specialist departments. It adjoins the former cavalry barracks, built between 1899 and 1901, but is not an individual cultural monument. Rooms 218–238 are to be renovated and reorganized for the Department of Nutritional Science. The laboratories and workrooms have different usage requirements and have existed in their current configuration and layout for many years. Some of the laboratories are already 30 years old. In order to continue high-quality research and teaching, the maintenance of the laboratories is essential to improve study conditions. This will require, among other things, the replacement of the electrical systems, gas connections, and ventilation systems. Some laboratory rooms are inadequate in size. These will be restructured accordingly to ensure efficient laboratory processes. The entire laboratory equipment is to be completely renovated and will thus be brought up to date with the latest technical and ergonomic standards. As part of the reorganization, the quality of the laboratory equipment will be improved, and the supply lines will be adapted to the new laboratory equipment.
