Hoai, phases 1-9 and special services as per the contract Project description: The city of Hanau and its location 'Hanau Hafentor' were included in the federal-state program "social cohesion" by the state of Hesse in 2018. The Hafentor area is located in the southeast district and includes the three residential quarters Hafentorsiedlung, Annastraße and a mixed, small-scale residential development (Annastraße, Unterweg, Kinzigheimer Weg, Am Krawallgraben). The city policy of Hanau pursues the goal of securing the Hafentor area as a residential area, developing it further and embedding it more strongly in the overall urban context. An "integrated urban development concept - Isek" and a green and open space concept have been drawn up for the area. The 'Hafentor' area is to be gradually developed and made attractive. The first implementation measure for the development of the area began with the redesign of the 'old football field' green area between the Hafentor building and the Ahmadiyya community property. Now the area along the Hafentor car park adjacent to Kinzigheimer Weg is to be planned as a 'new green connection' in a second implementation process. Here there is a footpath to the car park, a green strip with trees and adjacent to the car park area (approx. 2,200 m²). The planning goal is to create a green connection from the harbor gate to the Annasiedlung. The area is to be upgraded by replanning with paths, recreational areas and green areas, thus offering the residents of the harbor gate and the surrounding residents an attractive path connection. The crossing situation over the Kinzigheimer Weg and the connection to the car park are also to be optimized. The existing tree population is to be preserved. In the current situation, the use of the car park dominates the open space. The entrance to the car park is currently opposite the customs office. A footpath coming from the harbor gate ends at the entrance to the car park. The parking pressure on the open space is high and the ground and the existing trees show clear signs of constant strain. On Hanau market days, market traders have a special permit to park their trucks/small vans on the site. On other days, the site is dominated by cars and, in some cases, trucks waiting for customs clearance. In order to create the new green connection, the access to the car park is to be relocated. Initial preliminary plans were made to relocate the new access to the side of the site - bending from Westerburgstrasse from Kinzigheimer Weg. The final traffic planning will be carried out by the client. The new planning is not only intended to create a green connection, but the parking concept must also be reconsidered and the challenge of trucks waiting to be processed at the customs office along Kinzigheimer Weg in the future must be overcome. The planning task therefore includes not only the new planning of a green connection, but also the reorganization and adaptation of the existing system with innovative solutions tailored to the location for the various requirements of this open space. As part of a public participation process (not carried out by the contractor - just a presentation of the plan including preparation and follow-up for the appointment as a special service, see below), the basic idea is to be presented and introduced.
