Details: Solicitation Description construction Scope Of Work ehrm Nextgen Wifi Upgrades station Nrm Project No: 512a5-22-704 project Name: Ehrm Nextgen Wifi Upgrades Perry Point, Md 1. General Intent And Requirements: the Contractor Shall Furnish All Labor, Tools, Materials, And Equipment To Support Installation Of New Wifi Access Points At Perry Point Va Medical Center Campus Located At 361 Boiler House Road, Perry Point, Md. Please Note That The Scope Of This Work Is Limited And Specifically As Listed Below. all Cable Installers Must Be Trained And Certified Meeting Certification Standards, I.e., Eia, Tia, ansi, Bicsi, Tdm, Itu-t, Nfpa, Nec And Ncs. No Persons Shall Conduct Any Installations That Have Not Met These Certification Standards Of Training And Installation. Vendor Shall Submit Qualifications For Va Cor Approval. In Addition, Anyone Performing What Va Considers Renovations Or Construction Installation Work Shall Have An Osha Approved 10 Hour Training Course. contractor To Provide All Supervision, Labor, Material And Equipment Necessary For The Work Described In The Scope Of Work. All Work Shall Be Performed To Applicable Standards And The Va Til. Where Any Codes Or Standards Conflict, The Contractor Is To Defer To The More Stringent Standard. The Contractor Shall Cleanup, Remove, And Dispose Of All Construction Debris Daily. 2. Statement Of Work: contractor Shall Provide And Install All Necessary Conduit, Raceways, Horizontal And Vertical Penetrations, Horizontal And Vertical Structured Cabling, Cabling Accessories, And Fire Stopping To Support The Ehrm Nextgen Wifi Installation Project On The Perry Point Va Campus As Shown And Described In The Project Drawings And Specifications. A List Of Conduits And/or Penetrations Projected To Be Required Are Provided In Sow Attachment 1. work Shall Include: 1. Installation Of 74 Wireless Access Points (waps) As Indicated In Attachments 1 And 2. Access Points Shall Be Provided By The Va, But The Mounting Brackets Shall Be Provided By The Contractor. new Ap Model To Be Installed: Juniper Networks Ap43-fips-us 2. Installation Of Approximately 3,500 Linear Feet Of Metallic Conduit (emt) Or Raceway, Including Junction Boxes, Pull Cords, And Fire Stopping, Throughout The Medical Center. Existing Conduit Paths Between Floors And Rooms Will Typically Not Have The Capacity For More Cable, And New Conduit Paths Will Need To Be Created. All New Penetrations Shall Be Sleeved With Metallic Conduit And Fire Stopped To Meet Ul Rating. 3. Installation Of Approximately 6,700 Linear Feet Of Cat 6a Cable Between Each Ap And Nearest It Room, Including Terminating In A Patch Panel And Providing A Terminated Biscuit Connection At Each Ap Location. All Cabling Terminations To Be In Accordance With The T568a Pinout. Cabling Sheath Shall Be Bright Green In Color. All Cables Must Be One Continuous Run Between Port Location And Communications Distribution Closet No Splices Or Splitters. 4. Installation Of 12 New Cat6a Patch Panels In Existing Cable Racks. Provide 6ft Length Patch Cords For Each Horizontal Cable Installed. Final Patching To Switch To Be Completed By Va Oit Staff. 5. All Utp Cabling Shall Be Fully Tested In Accordance With Tia 568c.2 Following Installation To Determine Wire Map, Length, Propagation Delay, Delay Skew, Resistance, Insertion Loss Margin (attenuation), Return Loss (rl), Near End Crosstalk (next), Far End Crosstalk (fext), Attenuation-to-crosstalk Ratio (acr-n), And Acr-f (elfext). Submit Reports To Cor For System Acceptance. 6. Contractor Shall Be Required To Comply With The Project Infection Control Risk Assessment (icra) Permit Controls And Requirements. For The Purposes Of Bidding, Contractor Shall Assume Icra Category Iii Applies And That Negative Air Machines Will Be Required. it Is Strongly Recommended That The Contractor Attend The Scheduled Pre-bid Site Walk To Familiarize Themselves With The Worksite Conditions Prior To Bidding. all Work Will Be Performed During Business Hours, Monday Thru Friday, 8 Am To 4:30 Pm, Except Work In Building 17h (kitchen), Which Shall Be Completed After Hours. 3. Contractor Must Obtain A Hot Work Burn Permit From Va Safety Office Prior To Any Welding, Soldering Work And Burning. All Employees Of General Contractor And Subcontractors Shall Comply With Va Security Management Program And Obtain Permission Of The Va Police. The Work Is In A Professional Environment, Employees Must Conduct Themselves Accordingly. Employees Shall Not Use Abusive Language, Carry Firearms, Or Bring Alcoholic Beverages On Site.
