As part of the establishment of the “dining room” in the University City of Aarhus, Feas Erhverv P/s (hereinafter "feas") is now offering construction and civil engineering work in connection with the renovation, conversion and new construction of building 1802/19b at Universitetsbyen 38, 8000 Aarhus C – in the former Aarhus Municipal Hospital. The project includes an existing area (built in 1938) of approx. 1,250 m², including basement, as well as approx. 900 m2 of new construction, including basement. The building previously served as dining rooms for doctors, nursing staff and housekeepers. In addition, the building housed teaching rooms for nursing students. The existing building is being preserved and renovated/transformed. A new gable roof building, Building 1800, will be placed along the south facade of the building, with the same width and height as the existing building. The canteen will contain canteen facilities for students and other users in the university town. In addition, kitchen facilities will be established, including a production kitchen (daily production of approximately 900 plates), and dining areas with approximately 400 seats. The construction of the canteen will be carried out in 12 separate contracts, including one (1) large contract and 11 specialist contracts. In the current EU tender process, 9 of the 12 contracts will be tendered, while the remaining contracts will be put out to competition in another way. In the current tender process, Feas will act as the tendering agent on behalf of a public body (Aarhus University).
